The following is a transcript of an interview of Lily Morgan, founder of Lily Organics for Pamper Yourself Denver. She has been running this outstanding skin care company for over 20 years!

1. How and why was your company founded?

LILY: I founded Lily Organics in 1986 because I could not find a skin care product that worked. If the synthetic chemicals would of worked I would went to law school!

2. How long has your company been in business?

LILY: 24 years, we are the original organic Colorado skin care company!

3. What makes your company different from all the other companies out there that sell skin care products?

LILY: We are the only USDA certified organic growers/facial care line on planet Earth! We are the only company I know of that makes products fresh every week and ships the same day! We are the only company I know of, that prints on every bottle, “No synthetic chemicals—ever!

4. Why Organic?

LILY: There is scientific documentation that there is a direct correlation to many synthetic ingredients and cancer. The parabens, a common preservative, were considered, “safe” for forty years, and now they are being taken out of all products. Furthermore, they do not improve the health and performance of your skin. They can make your skin look better in the short term, while being detrimental to your skin in the long run. For example, a major dept. store brand uses acetone in its toner. Diluted and applied, it makes your skin feel super clean and tingly, however, the long term effects to using acetone on your skin, is not only toxic, but could increase wrinkling, large pores, and skin coloration.

In short, ingredients are everything in a product! Plants have natural chemical constituents that truly heal the skin.

5. How are your products similar or different from other Organic products out there?

LILY: Many organic skin care companies use synthetic chemicals, we never do.

People seem to forget that, “Green, sustainable, Local, Organic” only refers to farmers! We are the people that are green, create sustainablilty, you refer to when you use the word, Local, and the only people who can create organic!!!

We are the only USDA certified organic grower/facial care line on the planet! We make them up fresh every week in our own FDA inspected lab. Most companies just have a private labeler make up the same stuff for them as everyone else, that is why so many products feel exactly the same.

We are the pioneers of Colorado organic skin care, we were the first. We are the only skin care company in Colorado that can be a member of Colorado Proud, because we are an agricultural product.

6. How often do you introduce new products?

LILY: We are a very small company, we cannot make products for the masses, so we have been focusing on farming, sustainable agriculture, organic, making them fresh, so we have not introduced a new product for a year or more.

8. What is your favorite product for women?

LILY: I love the balancing facial toner!!

9. What is your favorite product for men?

LILY: Men love our oil free skin conditioning serum.

10. How do you see your company growing in the next several years? Are you going to add new products to your line? Do you see adding men’s products to your lines?

LILY: We grow more horizontally then vertically. Our plan is to have our own farm factory store in Hudson, Colorado, so people can take an afternoon trip to visit our facilities, the lab and production, our farm, and possibly a meditation and yoga center.

Yes, we are going to add new products, its just been a bit hard to get to!
