The benefits of Juniper Berry Essential Oil are numerous. The oil is a steam-distilled oil from the berries and needles of the juniper plant. The aroma is somewhat sweet, balsamic and very similar in smell to juniper shrubs.

When you can’t sleep because of worry and tension, try putting a drop of juniper berry oil on your pillow to bring slumber. I have a wonderful juniper shrub in my yard, which I love to smell on a warm summer night. Interestingly, gin is made from juniper berries.

It also tightens loose muscles and gives a feeling of firmness, fitness and youth. Juniper berry essential oil can also be used to cure diarrhea as well. The most important benefit of this property is in the fact that as an astringent, it can cause blood vessels to contract and reduce the chances of hemorrhaging.
Use 1-2 drops of juniper berry essential oil as a gentle astringent after washing your face. Also consider adding to your favorite Lily moisturizer!
