Bringing balance into our lives can add to our happiness.
The Chinese claim they have been using herbal medicine for 10,000 years. They believe great health means balancing the five humors: fire, metal, earth, water, and wood. Historically, many cultures looked at disease as “dis-ease” in the body, that is, an imbalance, a basic problem with a lack of equilibrium in one’s life. We must try to ensure balance in the following areas:
- We need to try to keep our relationships positive and worthwhile. Love must be given and received. Anger must be acknowledged and dealt with in a positive way.
- We need to help keep our environment clean, in our homes, our offices, our towns, our countries, and our planet.
- Hormone balance. Having your hormones in balance is imperative to good health,
- happiness, and a sense of well-being.
- Your body must have high-quality fuel to operate most effectively.
- Spiritual life. To enjoy true happiness, it is important to have a belief that there are forces operating that we may not see, that there is operating in the universe something bigger and better than we are. One has to have a code of ethics and a way to deal with unpleasant things like death in a positive way, to have mechanisms and a support system in place to rely on in the darkest days.
If you are feeling down, try using these essential oils: ylang ylang, which is found in our Organic Hydrating Moisture Face Mist jasmine, clove, neroli, orange, or cinnamon. Try St. John’s wort. This ancient traditional herb has been rediscovered and found valuable even by modern medicine.
