Everyone is talking about Slow Food.  The idea promotes slow food, fresh food, organic food — food that actually takes time to prepare.  This is unlike the fast food you can get at the drive thru window.

I love the idea. I love the concept.  It reminds me of all those 5 hour dinners I have had in Barcelona, Mazatlan or Montevideo. The chef does not start chopping the garlic and green chiles until after you have ordered!

Just as important to your health and the health of the planet is the concept I like to call Slow Skin Care.  The correlations between quality and food and quality skin care will never stop.

I look at it as my personal mission to create the highest quality skin care product on planet Earth.  How can I do that?  By monitoring every step, all quality control from seed to shelf.  From farm to bottle.  From seed to skin.

Just like with food, quality in organic skin care is freshness!  You want fresh food, not shipped for days or even months.  Freshness is everything in food — and in skin care.

My mom use to bake us homemade bread, and nothing is better than bread fresh out of the oven.  The same is true with your skin care.  You want it as fresh as possible.  Not made in another country and shipped by tankers and stored in warehouses.  Certainly not made by the same guys that make it for brands in the super discount stores.

To create the highest quality products takes time.  We have to plant the seedlings, protect them from the elements with wood chips or hay around every plant, water them faithfully and keep the insects away.  When you are an organic farmer, sometimes it means batting them away manually!

Then, after months and months of watching our babies grow, we harvest at perfection. At that time they make their way into our bottles of the freshest skin care in the world.  It is one slow process.

That is why I call it my mission in life the Slow Skin Care movement.   Organic growers are the backbone of the organic skin care and at the forefront of the new Slow Skin Care movement!
