This month is National Skincare Month. It is a time to pamper your skin and have fun with your daily regimen. Masks are a great addition to your weekly routine, for any skin type.

Masks are very beneficial. Because a mask forms a solid film on the face, the skin accumulates a large supply of water, which hydrates it. Masks that dry on the skin promote a rosy glow in the complexion due to three things: tightening, stimulation, and increased circulation, each promoting skin quality. When a mask is washed off, it takes the dry dead skin with it, giving he skin a deep cleansing as well as smooth healthy look.

Masks are a great body care aid. Everything you need to make a mask can be found in your kitchen. Nothing is more fun than experimenting with concoctions for your skin to improve your complexion.

Here is one recipe for one of Lily’s favorite dry skin treats:
Blend equal parts of:
• Chamomile
• Comfrey
With honey or yogurt to make a past. Rinse thoroughly after the mask has dried.
