Low moisture is one major reason fro dry skin. This can occur as the result of age, climate, excessive cleansing or physiological factors. In these cases, constant lubrication of the skin is absolutely necessary if you don’t want a dried-out looking face.

Holistic Remedies for Dry Skin

Traditional tried and true remedies for dry skin include taking herbal teas with the reputation for improving blood flow, such as sarsaparilla, burdock, yellow dock and nettle. Other holistic remedies for dry skin include:

  • Eat lots of nuts and high quality vegetable oils.
  • Take vitamin E internally or apply externally.
  • Apply evening primrose topically or take internally.
  • Drink aloe juice.

  • Add a cup of cider vinegar to your bath.
  • Use a bag of oatmeal as a wash cloth.
  • Blend apple juice and brewer’s yeast to make a paste. Apply as a mask, rinsing off after 20 minutes.
